Vern has been up for adoption for four years, so he has resorted to wearing a silly hat in the hopes of getting adopted for Christmas.  Vern is a friendly cat and handsome--even more handsome in person than his photo suggests.  He likes to sleep on the laps of his human friends and be petted.  He's a real cuddler and loves to be held.  Vern is used to being around other cats because he lived with fifteen other cats before arriving at the shelter.  However, he takes a while to warm up to cats he has just met.  Give Vern a chance and meet him.
